Dr. Mikao Usui is known as the Founder of Usui Shiki Ryoho, The Usui System of Natural Healing, in the late 1800's.

Chijiro Hayashi, our Second Grand Master was a retired Naval Officer and Doctor who assisted Dr. Usui for some years. He established a clinic in Tokyo, Japan where he assisted many clients, including our next Grand Master, Hawaio Takata. |
Hawayo Takata
|
Hawaio Takata, our third Grand Master, was a Japanese-American, born in Hawaii . She went to Japan with physical challenges and was able to seek out non-surgical solutions for her heath with Reiki treatments in the Usui Shiki Ryoho clinic to assist her in overcoming those maladies. After experiencing the deep healing she received with Reiki she saw that this practice would benefit young and old around the world and dedicated herself to the practice of Usui Shiki Ryoho. Before Dr. Hayashi's transition she was recognized by him as our Third Lineage Bearer And was "entrusted" with this Sacred Practice as she opened the first Reiki practice outside of Japan in 1936. She shared this sacred practice worldwide through Reiki Treatments and Trainings and was thus pivotal in bringing Reiki Natural Healing to the rest of the world. Before she made her transition in 1980 she recognized her Granddaughter, Phyllis Lei Fukumoto as our 4th GrandMaster of Usui Shiki Ryoho. |

Lineage Bearer and Grandmaster of Usui Shiki Ryoho Phyllis lived in Tucson, Arizona. She made her transition in March 2019. She named Johannes Reindl as current Lineage Bearer and Grandmaster of Usui Shiki Ryoho. |

About Reiki Master Patricia (Patti ) Gould
Patti Gould is a Reiki Master of the Usui System of Natural Healing. I am a member of The ReikiAlliance which is an International Community of Reiki Masters dedicated to the practice of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Reiki Healing. As Alliance members we are guided by a professional standard and a code of ethics and we support each other as we join together in his world wide community of Reiki Masters. We take our lead from a healing system founded by Mikao Usui in the early part of the 1900's and as it was first "entrusted" to the western world in 1936 by our Lineage Bearer, Hawayo Takata. It continues to be an exciting journey for me since I first discovered that it was possible to heal with your hands. I somehow knew it was possible, but was not aware that there was a training to start the flow of healing in one’s hands. |
One day as I was searching the internet, up popped my Reiki Masters website and there was Shalandra Abbey, Reiki Master and Author,
showing that one could actually be trained in this wonderful healing art. Recognizing that this was something that I was searching for to
stabilize my life and to bring about some balance in some major changes I was going through, I immediately signed up f
or the First Degree Class.
By February 18, 2007 I had received my internationally recognized Reiki Alliance Certificate in the Usui System of Reiki Healing.
Over the next 9 months I had made some major shifts in my life including releasing the operations of 1 of 3 businesses which I was
running, selling my condo, bringing to close a 20 year relationship and feeling happier, healthier and more alive and free than ever before.
I was giving and receiving Reiki Treatments to clients. As I saw the results of the treatments which gave the alleviation of pain and illness,
with visible signs of relief from stress and worry and seeing myself and my clients release emotional and mental constraints,
and becoming more spiritually connected. I was then moved to enhance my practice by taking the Second Degree Class which I
completed on November 4, 2007.
It was right after this class that I told my Reiki Master that one day I would become a Reiki Master myself.
And so it was. After a few years of training, I received my certificate as a Reiki Master of the Usui System of Reiki Healing,
Usui Shiki Ryoho on March 16, 2014.
I am constantly in awe of the amazing healing abilities that Reiki offers on all level of ones being. And I’m eternally grateful for the lineage
that has given abundant life to so many for well for over 100 years.
